Profile: Cricket in the early days used to be known as a gentleman’s game. That statement has now long gone as we saw a transforming into the game with the current crop of players getting into each others faces. However, there is still a few who plays the game the way it ought to be played. Sohan Bheer is a living proof of that. Bheer a wicket-keeper/batsman is like the co-owner, the co-captain of the Sunrise team. He was part of the very first Sunrise team that took on the Caribbean Sports Club of Canada in 1989 and still remains a faithful member of the club. The versatile Bheer who can also bowl some medium pace knows no other way to play the game other than a “never say die” attitude. His relax personality similar to that of former England captain Adam Hollioake is immense especially when he led the team to two victories in early 2004 against Port Charlotte of Florida. Bheer who is also an exceptional administrator is a valuable member to any team as his vast knowledge of the game can only be useful. |
